So after deciding that I have sucked HORRIBLY at attempting to be a serial blogger I've decided I will blog once a week. I hope. Today's blog with focus on my up-coming purchases for working the Everything to do with Sex Show in Toronto & my up-coming adventure in the No Poo sector that was enlightened to me by blogger Jillo Jello who I frequently lurk. (Click her name and follow her now. You won't regret it. )
So first up is, the up-coming purchases and soon to be reviews.
1. Benefit Brow Zings
I've been looking to purchase some good brow pencils, gel, wax, etc for a while but never really got down to it. Really excited for this product. Like, super excited. I'll post a review of how it holds up against long days after the Sex Show this weekend!
2. NARS Illuminator in Laguna
I want something to freshen up my complexion and add that extra POW when I don't feel like wearing my bronzer and want a lighter daytime look or something light and easy for work. Totally pumped to try to product and to give a more then likely awesome review.
3. Sephora Brand Lashes in Showstopper
No beauty purchase is complete without an awesome pair of lashes. I found mine. I like wearing lashes when I do these promotional events because it gives and extra pow to my eyes and provides a fullness my natural lashes just can't get. Yeah they're a bit thick and long but, I love them anyways.
Now onto my No Poo! Calm down, it has nothing to do with ahem, poo. But it has everything to do with SHAMPOO!! Or the lack of it's use. I'm going to start this week and I am nervous. I've always enjoyed lathering up shampoo in my hair, thinking it was good for it not bad. But apparently chemicals and sulfates in it actually harm and strip my hair. Yikes! So I'm going to try this method for a trial run of three months, see how I feel and how my hair feels. I will only be using conditioners and hair masks for the next three months. I'll post before and after pictures to see if there is a visible difference.
There are two other methods instead of shampoo you can use. One is a baking soda and water application. I cup of water for every 1 tablespoon of baking soda. It will feel like water, not gritty. I will be trying this and telling you how this goes. Just massage it into your scalp and rinse. The other option is apple cider vinegar. I am most nervous for this. Will my hair smell like vinegar? Guh..
Anyways, I'll try both and let you know how that goes! Big thank you to Jillo Jello for being my inspiration to start this and to become a beauty blogger.
Kisses.
