Updates Sephora/No Poo

My Sephora trip that happened almost two months ago is just being put online. I purchased a few great products, got two freebies and learnt that lashes can be a pain to put on when you're in a rush.

The Everything To Do With Sex Show was a great show this year in Toronto, and I got plenty of useful products from Sephora to help with it. All together a great weekend, plus I scored a primer that has lasted me two months! Woo hoo!

Now onto the products.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - This stuff is magic. I use it daily, my make-up has extra staying power, colors that used that didn't look as pigmented on my lids now pop. It's even easier to do my smokey eye with black shadows which I've always seemed to have a problem with. Altogether a great purchase that I highly recommend.

Sephora Collection Perfecting Cover Concealer - Again another great buy and a little goes a long way. This is my second purchae for the Sephora Collection and I've got to say it's been great! It covers without being flakey and caked on. Another great product that I recommend.

Sephora Collection False Lashes (Showstopper) - As much as I love lashes I will not be buying these ones again. They were too heavy, didn't apply right and when I applied mascara to my natural lashes to blend them in it just looked horrendous. I even tried cutting it in half to see if that would help and it didn't. I've never had a problem with lashes before and have worn full ones like this before as well. I love the lashes from this brand but will not be purchasing this set in particular.

Benefit The Big Ten - This was my favourite purchase, I went over to look at another kit and found this. It comes with the following products;

-Erase Paste in Medium
-The POREfessional
-"That Gal" Brightening Face Primer
-"Dandelion" Brightening Face Powder
-"Bella Bamba" Blush
-Stay Don't Stray
-Oh La Lift
-Posietint
-Benetint
-High Beam

And it was well worth it. It's long lasting and I still have every product except  the primer and porefessional. Amaing amazing buy and so lucky I saw this. You get to test out so many products. the only product I didn't like was the Erase Paste which I thought went on far too thick and heavy.

Last but not least my freebies! I got a sample size of Sephora Collection Perfecting Ultra-Smoothing Primer and an undereye circle reducer. Both great little freeebies.

Get purchase from Sephora and I can't wait until my next haul which should be in a few weeks so keep your eyes open!

Next on my updates is my No Poo update!

Wow! I absolutely love this and will probably never let shampoo touch my hair again. My hair has become healthier and easier to manage believe it or not. I don't do anything except give my hair a good rinse then put in a hair mask from Garnier Fructis. I'm currently favoring anything that restores moisture to the hair, leave it in for 3-5 minutes rinse out and boom. It's become so habit that even if there's shampoo in the bathroom I won't even think about using it.  I was a bit skeptical at first but now I love it. Thanks again to JilloJello for inspiring me on this one!

Kisses.

And So On And So Forth...

So after deciding that I have sucked HORRIBLY at attempting to be a serial blogger I've decided I will blog once a week. I hope. Today's blog with focus on my up-coming purchases for working the Everything to do with Sex Show in Toronto & my up-coming adventure in the No Poo sector that was enlightened to me by blogger Jillo Jello who I frequently lurk. (Click her name and follow her now. You won't regret it. )

So first up is, the up-coming purchases and soon to be reviews.

1. Benefit Brow Zings

I've been looking to purchase some good brow pencils, gel, wax, etc for a while but never really got down to it. Really excited for this product. Like, super excited. I'll post a review of how it holds up against long days after the Sex Show this weekend!

2. NARS Illuminator in Laguna

I want something to freshen up my complexion and add that extra POW when I don't feel like wearing my bronzer and want a lighter daytime look or something light and easy for work. Totally pumped to try to product and to give a more then likely awesome review.

3. Sephora Brand Lashes in Showstopper
No beauty purchase is complete without an awesome pair of lashes. I found mine. I like wearing lashes when I do these promotional events because it gives and extra pow to my eyes and provides a fullness my natural lashes just can't get. Yeah they're a bit thick and long but, I love them anyways.

Now onto my No Poo! Calm down, it has nothing to do with ahem, poo. But it has everything to do with SHAMPOO!! Or the lack of it's use. I'm going to start this week and I am nervous. I've always enjoyed lathering up shampoo in my hair, thinking it was good for it not bad. But apparently chemicals and sulfates in it actually harm and strip my hair. Yikes! So I'm going to try this method for a trial run of three months, see how I feel and how my hair feels. I will only be using conditioners and hair masks for the next three months. I'll post before and after pictures to see if there is a visible difference.

There are two other methods instead of shampoo you can use. One is a baking soda and water application. I cup of water for every 1 tablespoon of baking soda. It will feel like water, not gritty. I will be trying this and telling you how this goes. Just massage it into your scalp and rinse. The other option is apple cider vinegar. I am most nervous for this. Will my hair smell like vinegar? Guh..

Anyways, I'll try both and let you know how that goes! Big thank you to Jillo Jello for being my inspiration to start this and to become a beauty blogger.

Kisses.

Oh-Me-Oh-My. Ice Cream Hair Color is A-Okay in my books!

Alright so I'm behind on the blogging, I know. I'm sorry.

I'd also like to thank the only TWO people following me. You's the best. Thanks for the follow.

I wasn't able to get any pictures until working the Everything To Do With Sex Show in Niagara Falls. So, yeah, unless I'm modelling I avoid cameras at all costs. Yep.

Now on to what you really wanna see, my hair color. It turned a really nice..rich mahogany color I'd call it. Slightly red, slightly dark brown, slightly-no FULLY awesome. I love this color!

Photo credit goes to Armando Chin!

I had a great weekend and got lots of compliments from the show vendors I knew on my hair! It was amazing, so happy I changed my hair. Next week I'm putting purple streaks in it so LOOK OUT. =)

Ice Cream Hair Color pt.2

Alright, so that didn't turn out how I wanted. My roots went a brownish-red color that I disliked and my roots stayed the same. I half-expected it to be honest so when I rinsed it out and saw such bright roots I was able to control my shock a bit.

After drying and flat-ironing it went this really brash ugly color so I decided to use a light bleach the next day which brought it out to a nice dark red color that I have yet to adjust because I'm unsure whether I'm going to color it once more in a week or so.

As for right now I'm going to post pictures of the initial color and I'll post other pictures tomorrow!

Ice Cream Hair Color!!!

Okay so I've decided I may try out a nice dark red for the summer, kind of liven up my look.

So after looking at many different brands I have decided on the Ice Cream brand. It sounds nice, it comes with stuff I know how to use. (Peroxide and such.) && the number one reason, apparently I don't have to use Color Oops prior to using this. Bonus!!

I will update later with some images and my overall review of the product. I'm pretty darn excited.

Wish me luck!!

Cuuuupcakes

Yeah. You heard me. Cupcakes.

I made banana cupcakes with rum extract instead of vanilla extract for a nice twist. Then I did a honey cinnamon fronting and topped it all off with chopped walnuts.

Tomorrow I'm going to do a vanilla chocolate chip cupcake with a white buttercream frosting and possibly top with blueberries or some sort of nut.

Recipes will be up tomorrow. Keep an eye open for recipes and pictures!
